General Comment No.37 on the right of peaceful assembly
The UN Human Rights Committee is currently developing a General Comment on article 21 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, on freedom of assembly. Prof Heyns serves as Rapporteur for the new General Comment.

Human Rights Committee's 125th session - March 2019
After the adoption of General Comment 36 on the right to life, the Human Rights Committee decided to start the drafting of General Comment 37 on the right of peaceful assembly (article 21 of the ICCPR). The rapporteur for the new General Comment is Christof Heyns.
