On 20 February 2017, Prof Erika de Wet (SARChI Professor of International Constitutional Law) gave a public lecture entitled ‘Military Intervention by Invitation in the 21st Century’ at the Ruby Auditorium, CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria.
On 22 February 2017, Prof. Dr. Stephan Hobe (University of Cologne/ University of Pretoria), will present a lunch lecture entitled ‘The Future of the European Union and its Implications for the Relations with (South) Africa’, courtesy of the SARChI Professorship of International Constitutional Law. The lecture will be held at Brooklyn Place, Pretoria.

On 7 June 2016 Jeanique Pretorius, a researcher affiliated with the SARChI Professorship in International Constitutional Law, took part in a round table discussion as part of a conference entitled 'Tackling Climate Change: Oslo Principles on Global Climate Change Obligations'.
The SARChI Chair in International Constitutional Law in the Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria organised an international workshop on 'Controversial Aspects of the International Criminal Law Section of the African Court of Justice and Human Rights'. This workshop was held at the University of Pretoria main campus on 12 August 2016.
