The following events / courses / conferences are offered by the Institute for International and Comparative Law in Africa (ICLA):

  • Short course on Public International Law
    The Institute for International and Comparative Law in Africa in the Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria in collaboration with the Department of Public Law is hosting a short course that offers an opportunity to learn about key areas in the area of public international law.  The short course will be directed by Martha Bradley (University of Pretoria); Erika de Wet (University of Pretoria); Annelize Nienaber (University of Pretoria) and Dire Tladi (United Nations International Law Commission/ University of Pretoria).

  • Stellenbosch Annual Seminar on African Constitutionalism
    The Organisers of the Stellenbosch Annual Seminar on Constitutionalism in Africa (SASCA) are pleased to announce  that the Second Stellenbosch Annual Seminar on Constitutionalism in Africa (SASCA) 2014 will be held in Stellenbosch (South Africa) from Wednesday 17 September to Friday 19 September 2014.

  • Capacity Building in Air, Space and Telecommunications Law
    The Institute for International and Comparative Law in Africa in the Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria (UP), in collaboration with the Aerospace Industry Support Initiative of the South African Department of Trade and Industry, will facilitate capacity building in international air, space and telecommunications law. This event offers a unique opportunity for members of the civil service and industry to develop specialised skills in these areas of law.

  • Winter School on International Humanitarian and Human Rights Law in Military Operations
    The Winter School on the Convergence and Conflicts of Human Rights (IHRL) and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) in Military Operations is a joint-venture between the Institute for International and Comparative Law in Africa (ICLA) in the Faculty of Law of the University of Pretoria and the International Law Center of the Swedish National Defence College (SNDFC).
