Lunch Lecture by Dr James Fowkes on comparative public law

On 6 May 2015, Dr James Fowkes, senior researcher at the Institute for International and Comparative Law in Africa, presented a lunch lecture entitled ‘Due process of law making in South Africa’.

The lecture was based on his contribution in the book, Due Process of Lawmaking: The United States, South Africa, Germany and the European Union, which was co-authored with Susan Rose-Ackerman and Stefanie Egidy. In the lecture he discussed the changing shape of judicial review of legislative and executive law-making in South Africa, including in relation to public participation.
