Doctor Emma Charlene Lubaale is a non-resident associate with the SARChI Professorship in International Constitutional Law at the Institute of International and Comparative Law in Africa. Emma completed her LLM and LLD in 2011 and 2015 respectively at the University of Pretoria. Emma has published in the areas of international criminal law, national criminal law and international human rights law. Prior to embarking on her doctoral studies, she worked as a State Attorney with the Uganda Human Rights Commission and also lectured law at various universities. Emma’s current research interests are: International criminal law, domestic prosecution of international crimes, comparative constitutional law, international human rights law and national criminal law.
